{"id":4686,"date":"2016-09-14T12:59:39","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T10:59:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/?p=4686"},"modified":"2016-09-21T11:43:16","modified_gmt":"2016-09-21T09:43:16","slug":"youth-unemployment-global-compact","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/repor\/youth-unemployment-global-compact\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth unemployment, the great challenge according to Global Compact"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><u>Youth unemployment is the most impending issue according to the new report by Global Compact.<\/u><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8) is still the one that offers most business opportunities for the second year consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study titled, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalopportunitynetwork.org\/the-2016-global-opportunity-report.pdf\"><em>Global opportunity report 2016, your guide to a world of opportunities<\/em><\/a> mentions that entities around the world see opportunities in all the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/category\/global-goals\/\">Sustainable Development Goal<\/a>s. The survey involved interviewing more than 5,500 leading agents from the public and private sectors. The synthesis is that there is great willingness to implement the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, there is one major element of concern, which is well-being. We are mainly speaking about health and employment. From the point of view of opportunities, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/pegasus\/3235\/\">SDG 8<\/a> was the most decisive as was the case last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4687 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Oportunidades-ODS-2016.png?resize=300%2C132\" alt=\"youth-unemployment\" width=\"300\" height=\"132\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Oportunidades-ODS-2016.png?resize=300%2C132 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Oportunidades-ODS-2016.png?resize=768%2C337 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Oportunidades-ODS-2016.png?resize=1024%2C449 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Oportunidades-ODS-2016.png?w=1140 1140w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Youth unemployment, the great challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unglobalcompact.org\/\">Global Compact<\/a>, which prepared the report, stresses that youth unemployment is a vital issue. Almost half of the people interviewed (42%) mention lack of youth employment as the most urgent issue that needs resolving. A situation that stood out in last year&#8217;s report over other issues, such as climate change and food shortages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, once again we are facing one of the greatest challenges of our times.
