The Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition is an international event that is held online and is co-organised by The Goi Peace Foundation, Stiftung Entrepreneurship Berlin, and Digital Experts United, and the Youth Employment Campaign is distinguised member of the jury.<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

The competition gives young people aged 15 to 35 an opportunity to develop their potential and creativity within an entrepreneurial framework. There are two types of winners, the first is decided by a popular vote of the online community. The second is decided by a jury, in which Novia Salcedo plays an important role because, for the second year in a row, Novia Salcedo has participated as a jury member in the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The People’s Choice winners were announced last month. In the Best IDEA 2017 category, the winner was Otaigo Elisha from Tanzania. His idea is to produce, process and make cheap and high-quality food. The winner of the Best Project 2017 category was Louison Mbombo from Brazil, who submitted a project to combat malaria.<\/p>\n

The other competition began last March with the submission of nominations of young people from four continents. After the deadline for submitting the ideas in July, the jury evaluated the nominations individually, and on Saturday 21st October, these were announced during the main event held in Berlin.<\/p>\n

This year’s edition has been hotly contested, but finally the winners – 3 in each of the two categories- have overcome their rivals, although all the participants have been acknowledged by the organisers.<\/p>\n
