{"id":5820,"date":"2017-12-22T09:56:35","date_gmt":"2017-12-22T08:56:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/?p=5820"},"modified":"2017-12-22T10:21:46","modified_gmt":"2017-12-22T09:21:46","slug":"espanol-nota-sobre-reunion-del-comite-de-latam-y-patrocinadores-para-newsletter-pegasus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/repor\/espanol-nota-sobre-reunion-del-comite-de-latam-y-patrocinadores-para-newsletter-pegasus\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting of the LATAM Committee and Sponsors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last 22 November, the day after the Bilbao Youth Employment Forum &#8211; 2017 BYEF &#8211; a <strong>Pegasus Project meeting<\/strong> was held at the Novia Salcedo Foundation office involving, among others, the representatives of the project&#8217;s <strong>public sponsors<\/strong>: Basque Government and Bilbao Ekintza <strong>(Marcos Muro, Deputy Regional Minister of Employment and Youth, Nora Sarasola, Director General of Bilbao Ekintza, and Mariv\u00ed Sarasa, Business Promotion Expert from Bilbao Ekintza)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Other attendees included the <strong>representatives of the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Committee<\/strong> (Javier Krawicki and Horacio Llovet, the organisers of \u201cTuPrimeraPega\u201d and \u201cTuPrimerLaburo\u201d). They reported on the main activities performed in 2017 and explained their main lines of action for 2018, which are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2017 ACTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dissemination of the Pegasus Project in lectures, forums, seminars in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru with a total audience of more than 4000 young people who were introduced to the campaign&#8217;s goals.<\/li>\n<li>Direct dissemination of the Project among governmental agencies in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay with the subsequent review of the input from said governments.<\/li>\n<li>Direct dissemination of the Project among private companies in the region.<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination in the media thanks to 12 interviews in the press in Argentina and Chile, in which they mentioned the campaign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2018 ACTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Double the number of sponsorships to the PEGASUS Project by the end of 2018.<\/li>\n<li>Increase the number of young people impacted by the campaign by 50%.<\/li>\n<li>Convince the Governments of Argentina and Chile to formally approve the project.<\/li>\n<li>Disseminate the campaign in other countries, such as Colombia and Bolivia.<\/li>\n<li>Generate new alliances within the private sector to obtain funding to increase the funds available to design a more effective and broader campaign and to generate actions that promote the goals of PEGASUS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Regional Committees are groups of civil society entities attached to the Campaign that volunteer to promote and disseminate the objectives of the International Campaign for a Youth Employment Decade, adapting the campaign to their respective regions.<\/p>\n<p>The Latin America and the Caribbean Committee is one of the most active.
