For the first time, the awards will be linked to the Agenda 2030 SDGs, and the prize-giving ceremony will be held in Bilbao in October<\/h3>\n

The Novia Salcedo Awards for excellence in the professional integration of young people have become an essential event that acknowledges the efforts made by individuals, businesses and entities in this field. The 8th edition is already underway and the period for submitting nominations has already begun and will end on 8 June.<\/strong> To formalize each nomination, fill in a form that is hosted on the website www.premionoviasalcedo.es<\/a>, detailing the nominee\u2019s merits.<\/p>\n

On 5 July, the jury, chaired by Antonio Garrigues Walke<\/strong>r, will decide the winners in six categories<\/strong> from among all the candidates: ‘Youth’, ‘Individual (ad honorem)’, ‘Big business’, ‘SMEs’, ‘Institutions and\/or organisations’ and ‘Public administrations”.<\/p>\n

Some of the novelties of this edition are the new ‘Outstanding Young Entrepreneur’ category and the fact that the awards are linked to actions promoting the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda<\/strong> approved by the UN General Assembly. In this case, the interest focuses on boosting the SDGs that are more closely related to young people and their employability: 4 (education), 5 (equality), 8 (economic growth and employment) and 10 (between-country inequality).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Employment, social and ecomomic driving force<\/strong><\/p>\n

Novia Salcedo, with almost 40 years of experience in the field of employability and the promoter of the Pegasus project, considers that the challenge of providing all young people on the planet with decent employment “is a driving force for the economic and social transformation of individuals, businesses, organisations, and society”. In this context, the Novia Salcedo Awards are “a great opportunity to take a step forward and become an example at the service of the 2030 Agenda”.<\/p>\n

The prize-giving ceremony will be held in Bilbao on 15 October<\/strong>. In last year\u2019s edition, Jordi Albareda won the prize in the ‘Individua’ category, Emtesport in the ‘Business’ category, The Paraguaya Foundation in the ‘Institutions’ category and Victoria Camps in the \u201cAd Honorem\u201d category.
