It took Raut several months to build the robot in his small office. Everything that Nepal lacks in technological infrastructure, this team of young people compensated with creativity. For example, Ginger\u2019s polished plastic body was painted at a car repair shop near their laboratory.<\/p>\n<p>The workgroup consists <strong>mainly of engineers<\/strong>, from all fields, such as <strong>electronics, mechanics, software, robotics, artificial intelligence, and a natural language processing engineer<\/strong>. It measures 1.5 metres high and has been programmed to speak English and Nepali. It can also make jokes, like Apple\u2019s Siri or Amazon\u2019s Alexa.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/msj0xkzoAqw\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During its first work experience, <strong>Ginger<\/strong> walked through the <a href=\"https:\/\/naulo.com.np\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Naulo<\/strong><\/a>, a restaurant in one of the streets of Kathmandu, which still displays the scars from the earthquake that hit the capital three years ago. How does it work? Customers place their orders by means of a <strong>touchscreen on the tables and when the dishes are ready, Ginger delivers them<\/strong>. For now, some human waiters are helping the android. They have been working on and off, testing, and the result is a line of robots similar to Ginger but for other purposes.&nbsp;\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/paailatechnology.com\/robotics\/room-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ferry<\/strong><\/a>\u201d is one of them. <strong>This robot provides room service<\/strong>. When a guest asks for a toothbrush, some towels, or a bottle of water, any order, \u201cFerry\u201d will deliver it. Another is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/paailatechnology.com\/robotics\/pari\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pari<\/strong><\/a>\u201d, <strong>the first humanoid robot with artificial intelligence designed for human interaction<\/strong> that can<strong> dance and even crack jokes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As they say on their website, Paaila Technology is <strong>a business that comprises motivated, talented, and hardworking people<\/strong>.
