Basta con informarse brevemente acerca de la situaci\u00f3n que se vive a diario en la frontera entre M\u00e9xico y Estados Unidos, para percatarse de la necesidad que tienen muchos j\u00f3venes del continente americano de obtener un empleo digno. La idea del empleo va mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la obtenci\u00f3n de un salario, est\u00e1 en estrecha relaci\u00f3n con el desarrollo humano<\/strong>. Un empleo posibilita a un joven obtener estabilidad tanto personal como profesional, fomenta el desarrollo del propio pa\u00eds y aleja a los propios j\u00f3venes de entornos hostiles. Estos ambientes son los que durante a\u00f1os han truncado el desarrollo y el potencial de una parte de los 150 millones de j\u00f3venes de Iberoamericanos, seg\u00fan los datos de la Organizaci\u00f3n Iberoamericana de la Juventud (OIJ).<\/p>\n

Esta dram\u00e1tica situaci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo se vive en esa frontera entre Estados Unidos y M\u00e9xico, donde m\u00e1s de 47.000 personas -j\u00f3venes en su mayor\u00eda- intentan cruzar<\/strong> cada a\u00f1o para lograr el tan ansiado ‘Sue\u00f1o Americano’ que representa todo un mundo de oportunidades. Un sue\u00f1o por el que se dejan la vida cerca de 500 personas al a\u00f1o -seg\u00fan datos del diario Exc\u00e9lsior- en el inh\u00f3spito desierto de Sonora.<\/p>\n

Desafortunadamente, esta situaci\u00f3n no es exclusiva de esa regi\u00f3n del continente. Una de las fronteras en las que en apenas unos metros mejor se observa la diferencia entre prosperidad y necesidad. El sinf\u00edn de penalidades que deben pasar los latinoamericanos, empieza ya en las fronteras de los pa\u00edses de Centroam\u00e9rica. Un viaje que tiene lugar entre Tierra del Fuego y R\u00edo Grande, miles de kil\u00f3metros plagados de peligros y con la melancol\u00eda de dejar a toda tu familia y tu vida atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

Todas las penalidades que sufren los hombres y mujeres -en ocasiones con ni\u00f1os como acompa\u00f1antes- tambi\u00e9n tienen otra cara de la moneda. Un aspecto cruel en muchos sentidos. No es nuevo que las organizaciones criminales saquen provecho de esta coyuntura pues, la inmigraci\u00f3n ilegal supone todo un negocio para las mafias que mueven millones de d\u00f3lares. Una empresa en el que los ‘Coyotes’ -personas encargadas de guiar a los emigrantes sin papeles- se autoproclaman encargados de una \u00ablabor social\u00bb fundamental. Seg\u00fan los desgarradores testimonios de los propios emigrantes, las maras son las que controlan todo el trayecto generalmente en la Bestia, el tren en el que completan el trayecto mexicano los sin papeles.<\/p>\n

A pesar de todos los sacrificios y riesgos que entra\u00f1a el desplazamiento, un joven hondure\u00f1o de 16 a\u00f1os asegur\u00f3 en un reportaje: \u00abPrefiero morir en el desierto que quedarme donde estoy\u00bb. Esto refleja el aut\u00e9ntico drama de la emigraci\u00f3n donde la vida de cada persona en muchos lugares de la Am\u00e9rica Latina se ha visto devaluada<\/strong> con motivo de la inseguridad y la impunidad que gozan muchos malhechores. Los j\u00f3venes son los principales damnificados por este contexto y buscan en otros lugares esa protecci\u00f3n que en sus lugares de origen no son capaces de ofrecer.<\/p>\n

Se trata de crear bases institucionales en los pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina en los que el empleo sirva de eje vertebrador para el desarrollo humano para millones de j\u00f3venes. Por todo ello no es casual que la OIJ vaya abrir una sede en Centroam\u00e9rica, pues una de las regiones donde m\u00e1s se necesitan pol\u00edticas activas que combatan la precaria situaci\u00f3n en la que se han visto envueltos los j\u00f3venes desde hace varias d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
