El Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI)<\/a> apuesta por reducir el Salario M\u00ednimo Interprofesional (SMI) o las cotizaciones sociales que pagan las empresas para incentivar la contrataci\u00f3n de los trabajadores m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes, con una tasa de paro de alrededor del 50% en Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Esta es una de las conclusiones del informe ‘Desempleo juvenil en las econom\u00edas avanzadas de Europa: En busca de soluciones’<\/a>, presentado este mi\u00e9rcoles por Angana Banerji, economista senior del FMI, y \u00c1ngel de la Fuente, director de Fedea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

El estudio subraya que el empleo juvenil est\u00e1 relacionado especialmente con el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico, hasta el punto de que cada punto porcentual de crecimiento del PIB espa\u00f1ol se traduce en dos puntos porcentuales de ca\u00edda del paro juvenil.<\/p>\n

El razonamiento de esta afirmaci\u00f3n se basa en que estos trabajadores espa\u00f1oles se emplean, sobre todo, en trabajos temporales, que son los primeros en destruirse durante las crisis, en su mayor parte, en pymes (75%), que presentan una mayor vulnerabilidad al trabajar en sectores muy sensibles a los ciclos econ\u00f3micos.<\/p>\n

En este sentido, el FMI considera necesario estimular la demanda para generar crecimiento, y especifica que el empleo juvenil es a\u00fan m\u00e1s sensible a la demanda interna que al impulso de las exportaciones porque se encuentra concentrado en sectores con vocaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s dom\u00e9stica.<\/p>\n

El FMI a\u00f1ade que la reducci\u00f3n del paro juvenil pasa por incrementar el gasto en pol\u00edticas activas de empleo y por poner m\u00e1s \u00e9nfasis en la formaci\u00f3n vocacional.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
