{"id":2597,"date":"2015-04-15T18:50:35","date_gmt":"2015-04-15T16:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/?p=2597"},"modified":"2015-04-15T18:50:35","modified_gmt":"2015-04-15T16:50:35","slug":"the-eu-lac-foundation-is-promoting-a-youth-employment-workshop-in-quito","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/es\/repor\/the-eu-lac-foundation-is-promoting-a-youth-employment-workshop-in-quito\/","title":{"rendered":"La Fundaci\u00f3n EU-LAC promueve unas jornadas sobre el empleo juvenil en Quito"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La <a title=\"Fundaci\u00f3n EU-LAC\" href=\"http:\/\/eulacfoundation.org\/es\">Fundaci\u00f3n EU-LAC<\/a> que preside <strong>Benita Ferrero-Waldner<\/strong> -tambi\u00e9n patrona de Novia Salcedo Fundaci\u00f3n- ha organizado en Quito, en colaboraci\u00f3n con 46 pa\u00edses de la UE, CELAC -presidida por Ecuador este a\u00f1o- y la OIT, unas jornadas encaminadas a aproximarse a una problem\u00e1tica que afecta a millones de j\u00f3venes en el mundo, especialmente en el continente americano. Los participantes han intercambiado puntos de vista sobre la materia, haciendo hincapi\u00e9 en el empleo y la educaci\u00f3n como herramientas esenciales para combatir la lacra que supone que <strong>un 13,1% de los j\u00f3venes del mundo no puedan acceder al mercado laboral<\/strong>. Este \u00edndice de desempleo, que es tres veces superior al de los adultos, llega al 21,6% en la UE y afecta a 4,98 millones de personas, de acuerdo a datos de Eurostat, mientras que en Am\u00e9rica Latina se sit\u00faa en el 13,7% (29,1 millones de personas).<\/p>\n<p>La presidenta de la Fundaci\u00f3n\u00a0EU-LAC, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, subray\u00f3 la importancia de iniciativas como el <strong>Plan Junker<\/strong> para dinamizar la econom\u00eda por medio de programas de inversi\u00f3n que, a medio plazo, logren reforzar el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico, lo que beneficiar\u00e1 a los j\u00f3venes. Ferrero-Waldner, en la conferencia de prensa que ofreci\u00f3 para presentar las jornadas emanadas por iniciativa de la Fundaci\u00f3n EU-LAC, hizo un especial llamamiento al papel de la sociedad civil y, en particular, de los j\u00f3venes, en la b\u00fasqueda de iniciativas encaminadas a lograr la necesaria cohesi\u00f3n social que permitan avanzar en el \u00e1mbito de la educaci\u00f3n y el empleo.<\/p>\n<p>Unos datos importantes que afloraron con motivo de las jornadas es que <strong>en Am\u00e9rica Latina 6 de cada 10 j\u00f3venes que acceden al mercado laboral lo hacen de manera informal<\/strong>, o lo que es lo mismo, 27 millones de trabajadores. En la regi\u00f3n caribe\u00f1a, el desempleo juvenil supera el 30%, mientras que el empleo precario afecta a un 10% m\u00e1s. Unas cifras que perjudican gravemente el devenir de las respectivas rep\u00fablicas hermanas.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrero-Waldner destac\u00f3 algunas acciones que desde su fundaci\u00f3n se vienen alentando, encaminadas en muchos casos a localizar las <strong>Pymes m\u00e1s competitivas<\/strong> en sectores dispares, creando redes con las universidades y a mejorar pol\u00edticas orientadas a la mejor inserci\u00f3n laboral de las mujeres.
