Seg\u00fan el rotativo \u2018The New Age\u2019<\/strong>, el presidente Jacob Zuma anunci\u00f3 la celebraci\u00f3n de una futura cumbre este mismo mes para tratar, entre otros asuntos, el desempleo juvenil. Zuma inform\u00f3 del evento al calor de la celebraci\u00f3n nacional del D\u00eda de la Juventud en Pretoria. En base a una encuesta realizada por Stadistics SA, el paro entre los j\u00f3venes de 15 a 34 a\u00f1os ha aumentado de un 32,7% a un 36,1% entre los a\u00f1os 2008 y 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, Zuma declar\u00f3: \u00abLa econom\u00eda no est\u00e1 creciendo al ritmo que hubi\u00e9semos deseado y no est\u00e1 creando los suficientes puestos de trabajo en estos momentos. Por consiguiente, muchos j\u00f3venes se tienen que quedar en sus casas sin un empleo con el que puedan empezar a desarrollar su carrera profesional. Este ser\u00e1 un punto en el que vamos a hacer especial hincapi\u00e9 en la citada cumbre de este mes. Creemos firmemente que ser\u00e1 posible lograr un acuerdo para reparar esta tesitura<\/strong>\u00ab.<\/p>\n

Por \u00faltimo, el presidente matiz\u00f3 que ante esta problem\u00e1tica no depende s\u00f3lo del gobierno buscar una soluci\u00f3n<\/strong>; de hecho, asegur\u00f3 que la batalla contra el paro juvenil se tiene que librar con una alianza entre los organismos p\u00fablicos y privados. Zuma hizo un llamamiento al sector privado para que colabore de forma m\u00e1s activa a trav\u00e9s de la financiaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s pr\u00e1cticas profesionales. Asimismo, afirm\u00f3 que los j\u00f3venes son el futuro para la estabilidad del pa\u00eds y que por tanto hay que prestarles la atenci\u00f3n que se merecen.
