Nos jugamos demostrar al mundo que los valores de los padres fundadores siguen vigente. Que la UE es una uni\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y econ\u00f3mica, pero ante todo es una uni\u00f3n social. El escepticismo imperante en las reuniones de Bruselas, contrasta con las muestras de solidaridad de la ciudadan\u00eda. Una vez m\u00e1s la sociedad europea a la vanguardia y los pol\u00edticos a la cola. Tarde y mal.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando el gobierno de Croacia cambi\u00f3 su postura sobre la aceptaci\u00f3n de los refugiados en el pa\u00eds y dej\u00f3 de permitir un pasillo para el paso seguro a trav\u00e9s de sus fronteras, dej\u00f3 a muchas personas atrapadas en un limbo extra\u00f1o. La situaci\u00f3n que viven es acuciante, se han quedado prisioneros en un pa\u00eds con una alta tasa de desempleo juvenil y una econom\u00eda que pelea incansablemente por seguir el ritmo de los m\u00e1s fuertes, los miembros de la Uni\u00f3n Europea que son te\u00f3ricamente los mejor equipados para hacer frente a la crisis. Alojarse en Croacia, que ha tardado en recuperarse de la crisis econ\u00f3mica mundial de 2008, no estaba en los planes de muchos refugiados. Croacia tiene la tercera tasa m\u00e1s alta de desempleo juvenil en la UE en m\u00e1s de 45%. Alemania y el presidente Jean-Claude Juncker, han impulsado un plan de cuotas para redistribuir los refugiados entre los Estados sobre la base de sus poblaciones y las condiciones econ\u00f3micas. Pero estas cuotas deben cumplirse con la mayor brevedad posible, el futuro de la Uni\u00f3n est\u00e1 en juego.
