La Asamblea General de la ONU<\/a><\/strong> ha adoptado la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible<\/a><\/strong>, un plan de acci\u00f3n a favor de las personas, el planeta y la prosperidad, que tambi\u00e9n tiene la intenci\u00f3n de fortalecer la paz universal y el acceso a la justicia.<\/p>\n

Los Estados miembros de la Naciones Unidas aprobaron una resoluci\u00f3n en la que reconocen que el mayor desaf\u00edo del mundo actual es la erradicaci\u00f3n de la pobreza y afirman que sin lograrla no puede haber desarrollo sostenible.<\/p>\n

La Agenda plantea 17 Objetivos<\/a><\/strong> con 169 metas de car\u00e1cter integrado e indivisible que abarcan las esferas econ\u00f3mica, social y ambiental.<\/p>\n

La nueva estrategia regir\u00e1 los programas de desarrollo mundiales durante los pr\u00f3ximos 15 a\u00f1os. Al adoptarla, los Estados se comprometieron a movilizar los medios necesarios para su implementaci\u00f3n mediante alianzas centradas especialmente en las necesidades de los m\u00e1s pobres y vulnerables.<\/p>\n

\u00abEstamos resueltos a poner fin a la pobreza y el hambre en todo el mundo de aqu\u00ed a 2030, a combatir las desigualdades dentro de los pa\u00edses y entre ellos, a construir sociedades pac\u00edficas, justas e inclusivas, a proteger los derechos humanos y promover la igualdad entre los g\u00e9neros y el empoderamiento de las mujeres y las ni\u00f1as, y a garantizar una protecci\u00f3n duradera del planeta y sus recursos naturales\u00bb, se\u00f1alaron los Estados en la resoluci\u00f3n.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Los 17 Objetivos de la Agenda se elaboraron en m\u00e1s de dos a\u00f1os de consultas p\u00fablicas, interacci\u00f3n con la sociedad civil y negociaciones entre los pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

La Agenda implica un compromiso com\u00fan y universal, no obstante, puesto que cada pa\u00eds enfrenta retos espec\u00edficos en su b\u00fasqueda del desarrollo sostenible, los Estados tienen soberan\u00eda plena sobre su riqueza, recursos y actividad econ\u00f3mica, y cada uno fijar\u00e1 sus propias metas nacionales, apeg\u00e1ndose a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS)<\/a>, dispone el texto aprobado por la Asamblea General.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de poner fin a la pobreza en el mundo, los ODS incluyen, entre otros puntos, erradicar el hambre<\/strong> y lograr la seguridad alimentaria<\/strong>; garantizar una vida sana y una educaci\u00f3n de calidad; lograr la igualdad de g\u00e9nero<\/strong>; asegurar el acceso al agua y la energ\u00eda<\/strong>; promover el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico sostenido<\/strong>; adoptar medidas urgentes contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/strong>; promover la paz y facilitar el acceso a la justicia<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
