Adem\u00e1s, est\u00e1n expuestos a trabajos poco cualificados, mayor desigualdad en el mercado laboral y m\u00e1s inseguridad en la transici\u00f3n del mundo acad\u00e9mico al trabajo. En ese sentido, las <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/pegasus\/young-women-labour-market\/\">mujeres j\u00f3venes<\/a> tienen m\u00e1s posibilidades de estar desempleadas y con salarios m\u00e1s bajos que los hombres, siendo los contratos parciales los m\u00e1s extendidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Es por ello que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/repor\/young-people-with-limited-skills-will-remain-outside-the-labour-market-until-2025\/\">la educaci\u00f3n y la formaci\u00f3n<\/a> son determinantes para el \u00e9xito en el mercado laboral. Pero, por desgracia, los sistemas educativos existentes no est\u00e1n para hacer frente a las necesidades de aprendizaje de muchos j\u00f3venes. Los resultados de los estudios que se han realizado sobre esta brecha se\u00f1alan que un gran n\u00famero de j\u00f3venes tienen bajos niveles de rendimiento en competencias b\u00e1sicas. Es por ello que cualificaci\u00f3n en los empleos para los j\u00f3venes es una de las caracter\u00edsticas prominentes en la Agenda 2030 para el desarrollo sostenible. Concretamente en el 4.4, que pide un aumento sustancial en el n\u00famero de j\u00f3venes y adultos que tienen habilidades relevantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por ello, 15 de julio es el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/youthenvoy\/2016\/06\/world-youth-skills-day-2016-2\/\">D\u00eda Mundial de Habilidades<\/a> de j\u00f3venes, y las Naciones Unidas celebra este d\u00eda con un evento especial en el tema de \u00abDesarrollo de habilidades para mejorar el empleo juvenil.\u00bb La comprensi\u00f3n de lo que funciona para apoyar a los j\u00f3venes en el mercado laboral de hoy y ma\u00f1ana mediante la formaci\u00f3n y habilidades ser\u00e1 clave para la consecuci\u00f3n de la Agenda 2030, y estar\u00e1 en el centro de este evento de alto nivel. El evento ser\u00e1 facilitado por el enviado de la ONU sobre la juventud, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/youthenvoy\/\">Ahmad Alhendawi<\/a>, y contar\u00e1 con las palabras de apertura del Secretario General de la ONU, Ban Ki-moon.
