El desempleo juvenil, seg\u00fan una investigaci\u00f3n de la OIT, aumentar\u00e1 en 2016 y que la pobreza laboral afecta de manera desproporcionada a los j\u00f3venes.<\/h5>\n

La Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) estima que la tasa mundial de desempleo juvenil alcance el 13,1% en 2016. Ese nivel permanecer\u00e1 durante 2017 (frente a 12, 9% en 2015).<\/p>\n

El informe de la OIT\u00a0Perspectivas sociales y del empleo en el mundo 2016: Tendencias del empleo juvenil<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0muestra que el n\u00famero de j\u00f3venes desempleados aumentar\u00e1. Este 2016 lo har\u00e1 hasta alcanzar los 71 millones, el primer incremento de este tipo en tres a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

Uno de los datos m\u00e1s preocupantes es el que ofrecen los j\u00f3venes en pa\u00edses emergentes y en desarrollo. Cada vez m\u00e1s viven en extrema o moderada pobreza a pesar de tener trabajo. La investigaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n pone de manifiesto la disparidad entre hombres y mujeres j\u00f3venes en el mercado laboral. Un hecho que los interlocutores sociales deben abordar con urgencia, como relata Deborah Greenfield, Directora General Adjunta de Pol\u00edticas de la OIT.\u00a0El problema es particularmente grave en Asia Meridional, en los Estados \u00c1rabes y en \u00c1frica del Norte.<\/p>\n

Para 2016, el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico mundial se estima en 3,2%, por debajo de la cifra prevista a finales de 2015.\u00a0Esto se debe principalmente a la desaceleraci\u00f3n de las econom\u00edas emergentes.<\/p>\n

La mala calidad del empleo sigue afectando a los j\u00f3venes de manera desproporcionada, si bien con diferencias regionales considerables. Por ejemplo, \u00c1frica Subsahariana sigue registrando las tasas m\u00e1s altas del mundo de trabajadores pobres entre los j\u00f3venes (70%). Las tasas de trabajadores pobres entre los j\u00f3venes tambi\u00e9n son elevadas en los Estados \u00c1rabes (39%) y Asia Meridional (49%).<\/p>\n

En las econom\u00edas desarrolladas, son cada vez m\u00e1s los indicios de un cambio en la distribuci\u00f3n por edad de la pobreza. Los j\u00f3venes toman el lugar de los ancianos como el grupo que corre el mayor riesgo de pobreza. Hay\u00a0numerosos motivos para migrar. Una tasa elevada de desempleo, una mayor propensi\u00f3n a la pobreza laboral y una carencia de oportunidades de empleos de calidad.
