No es una desconocida en el plano internacional y, m\u00e1s concretamente, en temas relacionados con la juventud. Fue una de las impulsoras del <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youthemploymentdecade.org\/en\/world-youth-skills-day\/world-youth-skills-day-15-july\/\">World Youth Skills Day<\/a> y, en el \u00e1mbito nacional, ha destacado en la promoci\u00f3n de un movimiento civil y pol\u00edtico, llamado Hashtag Generation, donde los j\u00f3venes y su papel en la sociedad eran los principales objetivos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se trata de la primera mujer que ocupa este puesto desde que se cre\u00f3 la oficina hace cuatro a\u00f1os. Adem\u00e1s, destaca tambi\u00e9n por su juventud y su conocimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, piedra angular de la Agenda 2030 de Naciones Unidas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Actualmente trabaja como funcionaria del Servicio Administrativo de Sri Lanka. Wickramanayake ha servido anteriormente como secretaria del Secretario General del Parlamento de Sri Lanka (2016-2017), Grupo Internacional de Trabajo Juvenil de la Conferencia Mundial sobre la Juventud 2014 (2013-2014) y Delegado Oficial de la Juventud ante las Naciones Unidas, Ministerio de Asuntos de la Juventud y Desarrollo de Competencias (2012-2013).
