The Pegasus Campaign in favour of a Youth Employment Decade will be travelling to the Argentine town of Salta to take part in the first edition of the Forum of Young Southern Cone Leaders. Around fifty representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay will meet from 21 to 23 March to talk, share experiences and discuss various current issues with a view to developing strategies and projects based on the role of young people.

Pegasus will be represented in Salta by the Chilean on-line platform, TuPrimeraPega, a project that provides help and answers to young people seeking their first jobs. This is one of the first collaboration projects arising from the recently signed agreement between the said company and the Novia Salcedo Foundation to promote awareness of the goals of a project that seeks to the convince the United Nations to proclaim a Youth Employment Decade. TuPrimeraPega will also help to set up and run the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee.

Professionals and eminent guests at the Forum of Young Southern Cone Leaders will take the floor to speak about key issues: education in the twenty-first century, citizen safety, sustainable development/regional development and communication 2.0. The event will conclude with the writing of a report which will reflect the various agreements, initiatives and projects addressed. This report will be submitted to various international forums, such as the Second General Assembly of Latin American Youth or the next Summit of the Americas
