Youth employment will dominate the IV Youth Forum of the Americas that will be held in Panama City on 8th and 9th April under the slogan ‘Prosperity with Fairness: the challenge of cooperation in the Americas’. With 8 million unemployed Latin American youths aged between 15 and 24 and 27 million more working in precarious conditions, this event is an excellent opportunity to discuss mistakes and provide solutions.

During the Forum, which is one of the activities prior to the Seventh Summit of the Americas that will bring together the leaders of this region on 10th and 11th April, those present will discuss proposals that will be submitted to American governments to promote youth employment through development programmes. Based on working groups and round tables, some of the issues that will be covered in the lounges of the Hotel El Panama include entrepreneurship, technology, innovation and social participation.
